Basic Safety Rules

If an employee is in doubt about safely performing a task, he or she should contact their supervisor for instruction and training.

5. Do not remove or bypass safety devices.

6. Obey all safety signs and tags.

7. Read and follow all warnings and directions, especially when dealings with hazardous materials or any type of chemicals or cleaning solutions.

8. Practice good housekeeping at all times in all work areas and storage areas.

9. When approaching machinery, make sure operator can see you. Do not approach from the blind side.

10. Obey all traffic regulations when operating a motorized vehicle.

11. Supervisors, in conjunction with employees, are expected to conduct monthly safety inspections of work areas. Safety inspections, deficiency reports and corrective actions must be documented and maintained on file at the work site for 36 months.

Accidents and Emergencies Basic Safety Rules
